The Government launched a Consultation on Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information in Tax Matters. However, Hong Kong was recently included in a list of non-cooperative tax jurisdictions recently published by the European Commission (EC). SCAA has specially invited Mr. Chiu Kwok Kit, Deputy Commissioner of the Inland Revenue Department who has been involved in the negotiations with OECD and EC countries in the recent years to give us more information regarding this.
