The Asia Oceanic Tax Consultant’s Association (“AOTCA”) International Tax Conference cum CTA Conference 2016 will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 6-7 October 2016, with the theme of “Post BEPS, Challenges and Opportunities”. Professor K C Chan, GBS, JP, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of the HKSAR, will be the Guest of Honour.

AOTCA, founded in 1992, is a regional organization comprising of professional bodies of tax practitioners and accountants in Asia and Oceania, covering 15 tax jurisdictions including Australia, China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, Mongolia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.  The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (“TIHK”) has been an active member of AOTCA since 1994. 

This year, TIHK, as local host of the international tax conference, will provide a platform for tax professionals and experts from the 15 AOTCA member countries to get together to share information and exchange views, update on latest legislation and practice changes and prepare practitioners and enterprises for the paradigm shift in global tax environment led by OECD and G20.
