【Supported by SCAA】HKTDC - Belt and Road Summit (11 Sep 2017)

“Belt and Road” Summit” jointly organised by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) scheduled will be held in Hong Kong on 11 September 2017.

The Belt and Road Initiative provides a visionary blueprint for global economic development in the new world order.  To underscore Hong Kong’s unique role in supporting this strategic vision, HKTDC has developed a series of initiatives among which the Belt and Road Summit is the highlight.

Mr Zhang Dejiang, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China, and more than 40 prominent international speakers shared their intelligence at the inaugural Belt and Road Summit last year.  Over 2,400 business leaders and key government officials from 48 countries and regions, along with some 270 Hong Kong, overseas and mainland journalists, gathered to discuss their vision of the Belt and Road Initiative and the unique role that Hong Kong could play.  The concurrent exhibition and business-matching workshops further reinforced the Summit as an ideal platform for participants from around the world to develop partnerships.

Under the theme of “From Vision to Action”, the Summit this year will feature insights of senior officials of related economies and case studies highlighting Hong Kong’s role in helping companies to unlock the massive Belt-Road opportunities.  The full-day programme will comprise a high-level symposium with panel sessions, thematic breakout forums, a keynote luncheon, an exhibition, as well as an investment and business-matching session.  You are also welcome to visit the event website www.beltandroadsummit.hk for updates.
