【Request for Extension of D Code Deadline】

Because of the recent events in Hong Kong in the past 2 months, many members and their staffs have difficulties in completing the audit work in time for the D code submission. SCAA has specially sent in a request to the Inland Revenue Department to request for an extension of the D Code Deadline to 31st August 2019.

Although the Inland Revenue Department did not agree to extend the deadline, they understand that some of our members and our clients may have been impacted and the influence may have varied from place to place and from business to business.

The Inland Revenue Department agreed to favourably consider application for extension of time on a case-by-case basis, whenever the circumstances justify.

We thank the Financial Secretary, Mr. Chan Mo Po Paul, and the Commissioner of Inland Revenue Department for their kind understanding.
