Vincent Chan is a Partner of Appleby’s Hong Kong office. He has over 17 years of  experience in offshore law, specializing in IPO/equity and debt capital markets, pre-IPO restructuring and financing, public and private mergers and acquisitions, privatizations, private equity investments and venture capital, joint ventures, and corporate reorganizations. Clients include companies from Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands (BVI), and the Cayman Island, which are listed on stock exchanges in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, New York, NASDAQ, and London, as well as private companies, banks, financial institutions, private equity houses, and asset management firms.

 

He has been recognized by various legal publications. He was named a Growth Driver (International) by China Business Law Journal (A-List) in 2025 and one of the top 50 offshore lawyers by Asian Business Law Journal in 2024. Asian Legal Business selected him for their Offshore Client Choice list from 2020 to 2024 and included him in their 2019 top 40 under 40 list. He has also been recognized as a Notable Practitioner by IFLR1000 (2019-2024) and by the Legal 500 (Asia Pacific) for his work in Equity Capital Markets and M&A, with a specialization in Cayman Islands law.
