About the Webinar:

This webinar aims to provide accounting professionals with an overview of the evolution of the virtual banking industry in Hong Kong. We will trace the journey of virtual banks from their inception to their current status, including the HKMA's review report on virtual banks and their renaming to digital banks.  The event will feature a panel discussion covering performance insights of virtual banks, upcoming strategies, and potential collaboration opportunities with accounting professionals.

About the Speaker:

Mr. Andy Li, General Manager, Corporate Banking

Andy Li immerse in Corporate banking for over 18 years. After 12 years career in an International Bank as Associate Director, Andy being invited to join a Fintech StartUp which help built a Trade Finance Platform matching SMEs and Funders. In 2019, he became early founding member of a Virtual Bank in capacity Head of SME Banking helps the Bank obtain Banking license, builds ecosystem partnerships, designs and implements SME related banking services and products. In the meantime, he created first in town pre-approved corporate loan using pure trade data without any document. Currently, Andy working at another digital bank holding position General Manager, Corporate Banking oversee Partnership, Strategy, Product, Sales and Marketing areas.

 

About the Moderator:

Ms. Debbie Man, Director, iComplyAlliance Limited

As a Director of iComplyAlliance Limited, Debbie is currently providing consultancy and training services to international and local firms.  She is also an adjunct associate professor in Finance at the University of Hong Kong.

 

Debbie previously served as the Head of Compliance and Corporate Governance/ Managing Director and Alternate Chief Executive of a private bank.  Prior to this role, she was the Chief Compliance Officer of a virtual bank, heading the Legal and Compliance Department and established the corporate governance framework.  As a seasoned professional in regulatory compliance, Debbie is also supporting industry associations and academic institutions as examiner, moderator and advisor.

Completed CPD hours will be granted to attendees who have attended a full session of seminar.  For those who have not attended full session, the number of CPD hours will be discounted accordingly.  For the exact recognition of the CPD hours, please check with the respective Institute or Association.
